were memories diminished by time,

or magnified by the mind,

does love share the same devotion,

or even question the notion,

was it love or was it not


Is there a gain when love is lost,

is the expense equivalent to the cost,

lovers gambling,

hearts at stake,

everlasting love

or never-ending heartache

is the pain real or psychosomatic

do thoughts evoke sensation

or am I just being romantic.

Symptoms leave no indication,

still left to balance the equation,
